Hello there,  I was just looking through Living Etc magazine and I spotted the ditsy floral melamine plate I designed for BHS inside.  It was in their Agenda Shopping section.

A nice surprise for today.

Picnic baskets - Summer is here (hopefully)

Hello hello everyone, it's been a while, I have been a busy bee trying to meet a few deadlines.   I was very excited to see some of my designs on the Bhs website.

Strawberry floral
It was over a year ago that I started freelancing, and one of my first jobs (from my lovely friends at Bhs), has now come into the shops.  The Floral Strawberry design, specifically designed for the hampers.  Love the vintage style basket below.

Perfect for vintage style picnic!
Top right door mat, taken from last year's photo frame design.  Cute a!
Strawberry picnic wine glass.
Fruity mug design!
I can't take any credit for the very cute mug design, but they put the flowers and strawberries to very good use!  Perfect for sipping an afternoon brew from.

Preview of good things to come - bhs

Hello all, I saw a blog post about the new BHS range this morning and thought I'd add it for you all to see as it looks so good.  It's the Brighton range and it's due to come out next year.  Follow this link to see the full post and more images.  I didn't work on this, but I know the team that did!  A very well done to them.

new e-mail address and robins

Hello everyone,  It has been such a busy week again, as you may or may not know my e-mail was hacked so I lost many contacts.  My new e-mail address for those that are trying to contact me for freelance work (or just to say hi) is:

sarahpapworth178@btinternet.com

I realised I had a few images I hadn't shown you yet that I designed for BHS which are in the shops now, very festive little robin!  I have also been printing Robin Christmas cards to sell and making other bits for the stall later this month so I will show some photos of those too.

Design - bhs a/w 2012

Hello and happy Friday!  Hope you all had a good week? It's been a busy one for me, so I'm looking forward to a not so manic weekend working on Beetroot Press.
There are more Bhs designs I created on the website that I thought I'd show you.  It's always so interesting to see how the designs turn into product.  I also saw that the Owl and Floral applique cushions, from the Skandi theme I posted a couple of weeks ago, were on a TV advert the other day which was a nice surprise!

Sneek peek - Oswald the owl

Hi everyone, I was very happy this week to receive this photo from a reader, Kate Ward.  It's a snap of her new home, showing her recent BHS purchase of the owl cushion I designed!  I was so pleased Kate had taken the time to say hello and send me the picture that I thought I would share it on here.  Kate graduated from Bath school of Art and Design last year and wishes one day to go freelance with her work.  Here is her blog to have a peek at what she gets up to and her recent move into her lovely new home.

Design - British home stores

Appliqued poppy cushion
Hello peeps!  Hope you have all had a great week?  Mine has gone very quickly and I'm now packing for our trip to Wales this afternoon.  Very, very excited as visiting a couple of friends near Ceredigion which is in the middle of nowhere, which sounds perfect to me... here's the map!   Husband and wife team, Helen and Steve Watson, are building an amazing place for people to go and stay, it's in it's early stages, but I will take a few photos and update you next week as it sounds beautiful, they have an owl, living in the barn, and pet ducks, a new kitty, and Star the collie dog.  have a look at their blog about getting it all ready for customers here.

This week I saw some of my designs online, that I created for BHS when I worked for them full-time.  So I thought I'd show some of my favourites.

They sit in the theme 'Skandi' which is all about Scandinavian design:  Strong and simple icons with texture fills in red, white, sky, navy and slate blues with black highlights sit well against pale wood and natural textiles.

I really enjoyed working on this theme, so was a good one to leave on.
