Visit - children's illustration exhibition

Today I visited a Children's illustration exhibition for Cambridge MA graduates at Foyle's bookstore on Charing Cross rd, London.  Have a look here at the website.

There was such a variety of work, some were more traditional, some more bold vintage inspired, softly drawn or used models to create a story.  My favourites are listed below.  Unfortunately not all of them have websites yet, but I will do my best to show you what I saw....

Narisa Togo.  Beautifully drawn and cute little birdies.  See her blog here.

Rosie Byrne.  I loved the simplicity of Rosie's book with her cute baby and rabbit characters.

Trudi Esberger.  Really like the printmaking style to Trudi's work and the story telling of the illustration.  Have a look at some more images here.

Alison King.  Lovely work, couldn't find many images sadly, Alison has some great, fun and vintage looking character prints to buy.

Jo Empson.  Gorgeous rabbit book with fun splashes of colour.  Have a look at her website here.

The exhibition is on for only one more day, so if you are near, go and take a little peek!
