More on Print & Pattern blog

OK, lets go right back to the start, there has been a lot more of my designs on Print Pattern than I'd realised....You have probably seen a couple of these before on here.  I'll start with the earliest post first.

A summery tea towel design...here's the link

Below is picnic-wear tray, which had matching plates etc and cushions further below.  I must have created that design in 2009, here's the link to Print and Pattern.

More picnic-wear below, and lampshades at the bottom.  I own the meadow floral style picnic plates and always get complimented on them, which is nice!  Link to Print and Pattern blog

Below is some bedding I reworked and coloured and apron design in bold graphic floral.  Here's the link to the post.

This one I definitely know about, here is is again, focusing on my more recent freelance work and Beetroot Press products I hand print and sell on Etsy and Folksy...here's the link

And last but not least here's the newest post on the site here.  Oswald the owl mug, ditsy floral hearts glamping cushion and this patchwork style bird was supposed to be a shaped cushion, but seems they added it mugs as well!  The last design is partly mine (the filigree bit) and then the design team have added a little birdie in too which is very cute.

That's it for now folks!

Preview of good things to come - bhs

Hello all, I saw a blog post about the new BHS range this morning and thought I'd add it for you all to see as it looks so good.  It's the Brighton range and it's due to come out next year.  Follow this link to see the full post and more images.  I didn't work on this, but I know the team that did!  A very well done to them.

Design - British home stores

Appliqued poppy cushion
Hello peeps!  Hope you have all had a great week?  Mine has gone very quickly and I'm now packing for our trip to Wales this afternoon.  Very, very excited as visiting a couple of friends near Ceredigion which is in the middle of nowhere, which sounds perfect to me... here's the map!   Husband and wife team, Helen and Steve Watson, are building an amazing place for people to go and stay, it's in it's early stages, but I will take a few photos and update you next week as it sounds beautiful, they have an owl, living in the barn, and pet ducks, a new kitty, and Star the collie dog.  have a look at their blog about getting it all ready for customers here.

This week I saw some of my designs online, that I created for BHS when I worked for them full-time.  So I thought I'd show some of my favourites.

They sit in the theme 'Skandi' which is all about Scandinavian design:  Strong and simple icons with texture fills in red, white, sky, navy and slate blues with black highlights sit well against pale wood and natural textiles.

Skandi apples

Oswald the owl

Abstract circle lampshade

Owl cushion: crewel work stitches.

Leaf floral lampshade.
I really enjoyed working on this theme, so was a good one to leave on.

Inspiration - house doctor

I love love love House Doctor! They are a Danish supplier I saw at a trade show about 2 years ago. I love the fact that they have a vintage/utilitarian feel without all the pink that usually seems to dominate the commercial vintage side. And they have such beautiful photography! Have a look at their product here where you can view the catalogue and go to their blog, which includes recipes and what they are up to within the business. It is a massive shame that you cant buy online from them, but they have many stockists in England and you can search for one in your area on their website.

Always love a stack of patterned blankets and throws! These images are actually from their last season, they do 2 new stories per year mixing in the popular items from seasons before.
