To make the teacup candles you will need: Bone china cup and saucer, 2 long coloured candles, instant adhesive, 2 old saucepans, and a couple of clothes pegs.
1. Glue the cup to the saucer
2. Melt the candles gently in saucepan inside another filled with water. The wax is flammable so it is important not to overheat it.
3. Fish out the wicks.
4. Pinch the 2 pegs together with the wick in the middle and place them over the teacup so one end of the wick is nearly touching the bottom of the cup. Or alternatively use wooden skewers like the image below.
5. Pour the melted wax into the cup and leave to dry.
6. trim the wick to 1cm.
All done, amazing cuppa!
Or you could use egg cups for a matching pair!
